FERTILIZING ABILITY OF SPERM IN THE SEMEN

The sperm is a special cell, with the ability to carry out its functions autonomously in another body organism.

The task of the sperm is to carry the paternal DNA (which is contained in the oval shaped head), after a long and difficult journey into the ovum, where the DNA of the parents combines to give form to a new life. In order to do so, the sperm has its own driving forces, which interact with the environment. It is vital to evaluate the fertilizing ability of the sperm in those cases where conception has failed, especially when the female partner has normal fertility levels.
